Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging Red Star Labs ("we," "us," "our") for a project, you ("client," "you") agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't hire us.

2. Scope & Pricing

Every project starts with a written scope and fixed quote. The quote includes what we're building, the timeline, and the price. We don't do hourly billing or scope creep. If the project changes, we'll quote the change and get your approval in writing before proceeding.

Prices are in GBP unless otherwise agreed. Payment is 50% to start, 50% on delivery. We accept payment via Stripe.

3. Timeline

We commit to a delivery date in the project scope. If something goes wrong, we'll tell you immediately and give you a revised date. Delays caused by you (late feedback, missing assets, approval delays) don't count against our timeline.

4. Revisions

Websites include 2 rounds of revisions. Apps & agents: revision rounds are project-specific and detailed in the scope. Beyond what's included, revision time costs £150/hour. Revisions are confined to the original scope — major changes are new projects.

5. Ownership & Intellectual Property

When you pay in full, you own everything we create for you: source code, designs, assets, content. We can use your work as a portfolio case study (anonymized, with permission). You can't resell it as a template or claim you built it.

6. Payment & Invoicing

Invoices are due within 14 days. We'll send them via Stripe. Late payment may result in project pause. We reserve the right to pursue collections if payment is significantly overdue.

7. Warranty & Liability

We warranty that work will be delivered as scoped and will function as described. We're not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue, or third-party claims. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us.

8. Cancellation

If you cancel after project start, you owe the deposit plus costs incurred to date. If we cancel (unlikely), you get a full refund of any payments made.

9. Confidentiality

We keep your business confidential. We won't disclose details about your project to anyone except those we hire to help deliver it. We can share anonymized work in our portfolio.

10. Support & Maintenance

30 days of free support is included with every project. After that, support and maintenance are available at £150/hour or via retainer. Updates to third-party services (hosting, APIs, dependencies) are your responsibility unless we've agreed otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms anytime. We'll tell you if they change in a way that affects a current project. Continued work means you accept the new terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

If there's a dispute, we'll try to work it out. If we can't, disputes are governed by the laws of Canada and subject to arbitration or small claims court, not class action.
